Noosa Shire Council engaged Location IQ to assist in preparing a new 20-year planning scheme for Noosa Shire, known as The New Noosa Plan 2020. The New Noosa Plan 2020 aims to protect the look and feel of Noosa while providing a blueprint to shape the Shire’s growth over the next 20 years.
Location IQ assisted Noosa Shire Council in the allocation of retail through the assessment of ongoing demand for traditional and large format retail, together with entertainment uses throughout the region over the period to 2041.
Noosa Plan 2020
The New Noosa Plan 2020 aims to protect the look and feel of Noosa while providing a blueprint to shape the shire’s growth over the next 20 years. Key recommendations were provided in relation to the location, quantum and type of future retail floorspace which could be supported within the Noosa Shire over the next 20 years. An outline of the risks and opportunities for each major centre location was also provided.
