Yaroomba Beach, Queensland

Location iQ was engaged to prepare a Joint Economic Report which addressed the economic need for a resort and retail facility at Coolum, on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland.

The proposal by Sekisui House comprised a resort complex to be operated by the international hotelier, Westin Resorts. Other proposed uses on the site included residential, a small retail facility and an education establishment. Preparation of a Joint Economic Report was required to address the economic need and impacts of the proposal.

Location iQ assisted in the approval process of the Yaroomba Beach development. Location iQ, along with other industry experts assessed the need and demand for the proposal, including its major components.

Location iQ utilised data relating to tourism, population growth and retail competition to assess the impact of the proposal. The preparation of the Joint Economic Report assisted in the approval process of the Yaroomba Beach development.
